TM Software has bought the Dutch software company Falcon Automatisering BV, which is specialised in the production and selling of software solutions in the healthcare sector

The takeover is part of TM Software’s aim to boost its standing in Europe with an emphasis on the Benelux countries. According to Axel Ómarsson, TM Software’s CEO in Europe, the takeover will strengthen the standing of this company, which has marketed software solutions for the healthcare sector under the Theriak trademark since 2001.  “Falcon is a highly reputable company in its field in Holland with good management,“ says Axel, “and it offers a range of products that integrate very well into our solutions.”  He says that their combined influence with Falcon will be considerable, not only in the Netherlands, but in all of the countries TM Software sells its software solutions to.

Used by 50% of Dutch hospitals

Falcon Automatisering has some 64 customers and its system is used by more than 50% of Dutch hospitals.  The company, which was formed in 1988, supplies software solutions to healthcare institutions, particularly hospitals and nursing homes.  Its objective is to develop viable solutions for managing medical treatment, financing, and logistics in  the healthcare system.

Cor van der Wurff, the head of Falcon Automatisering, says the takeover is a sensible step for the company.  “A software company offering solutions to healthcare bodies has to be strong and capable of offering a wide range of products,“ he says.  TM Software fulfils that condition and can now offer an even broader selection after the takeover.
