One of the most notable developments this quarter was the acquisition of TRAVIS Road Services from Tilburg by the German technology group Knorr-Bremse. TRAVIS has developed Europe’s largest platform for booking, paying for, and managing truck services.
The Brabant Development Agency (BOM) was an early investor in TRAVIS. The company will continue to operate independently but will now benefit from Knorr-Bremse’s international network and technological capabilities.
Compliance and ethical AI on the rise
Another company that experienced strong growth in the third quarter is Tidal Control. With nine new clients – including Livedrop, Simpl.energy, and Promptwatch – the company is emerging as a key player in AI-driven compliance and risk management.
Tidal Control’s platform helps organizations monitor and automate their ESG, privacy, and ethical AI obligations. Real-time risk detection and intuitive dashboards give companies better insight into their performance, while automated reporting reduces administrative burdens.
AI in healthcare: speech recognition as an assistant
Brabant also made its mark in the healthcare sector. Eindhoven-based Autoscriber is expanding rapidly. Its application is now used at the Jeroen Bosch Hospital, by a growing number of DC Clinics, and – more recently – in Germany as well.
Autoscriber uses AI to automatically convert doctor–patient conversations into medical documentation. This reduces the administrative burden on healthcare professionals and improves the quality of patient data. By intelligently combining AI with medical expertise, Autoscriber ensures that healthcare providers have more time for what truly matters: the patient.
Sustainable electronics from Brabant
In the world of deep tech and sustainable hardware, Eindhoven-based TracXon stands out. The young company, a spin-off from research institute TNO, raised €4.75 million in seed funding to accelerate the industrialization of hybrid printed electronics (HPE). This technology offers a sustainable alternative to traditional printed circuit boards, which are often environmentally taxing in production and waste processing.
The investment round was led by DeepTechXL, with participation from Invest-NL and BOM. With this funding, TracXon can develop new machinery, including the first roll-to-roll VIA Printer. This innovative printer is expected to reach the market in 2027, marking an important step towards a more circular and environmentally friendly electronics industry.

Light technology for the future of data centers
Eindhoven-based Photon Bridge also had a promising quarter. The company not only changed its name (formerly Photon IP) but also unveiled groundbreaking photonics solutions that are essential for the next generation of AI data centers and telecom networks.
Photon Bridge presented its cantilever waveguide technology, which enables light signals to transition more efficiently between different components of an optical (photonic) chip. As a result, electronic systems can transmit data faster and with greater energy efficiency — paving the way for faster and more sustainable data centers and communication networks.
Wireless connectivity as the industrial backbone
There was more good news from Eindhoven. WeNet secured €350,000 in early-stage funding from the Brabant Startup Fund (BSF), supported by BOM’s venture development activities. This investment enables WeNet to further develop and roll out its technology within the high-tech industry.
WeNet develops AI-driven hardware and software solutions that convert wired systems in industrial equipment into secure wireless connections. In doing so, the company addresses the high-tech industry’s growing need to reduce the number of wired connections — driven by cost efficiency, sustainability, and the increasing complexity of modern systems.
Twirlbound builds digital worlds
Finally, there is also good news from the creative tech scene. Breda-based game studio Twirlbound received a capital injection from ForsVC and BOM. The investment helps the team strengthen its position as an independent game developer and accelerate the creation of new, visually rich adventure games — following the success of titles such as Pine and The Knightling. With its creativity and craftsmanship, Twirlbound further reinforces Breda’s position as an emerging international game hub.
