The French pioneer in hydrogen mobility, Atawey, is accelerating its European growth with a strategic location at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven (HTCE), the innovative heart of the Netherlands. This expansion was made possible through close collaboration with the Brabant Development Agency (BOM) and the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA).

These organizations played a key role in connecting Atawey with regional partners, setting up operations at HTCE, and embedding the company within Brabant’s innovation network. The expansion places Atawey in one of Europe’s most advanced technological ecosystems, perfectly aligning with Brabant’s ambition to be a leading region in sustainable energy and green mobility.

Founded in 2012 and based in the French Alps, Atawey designs and manufactures hydrogen refueling stations for a wide range of vehicles, including light-duty vehicles, buses and trucks. The company is known for its modular and high-performance solutions— perfectly suited to high-demand mobility needs, whether for captive fleets or transit corridors. With a strong presence in France and growing demand across Europe, Atawey supports municipalities, transport companies, and industrial partners with scalable and reliable infrastructure for clean mobility.

The opening of our office at High Tech Campus means much more than a new location: it’s a strategic milestone
Geoffroy Ville, international business development manager Atawey

“The opening of our office at High Tech Campus means much more than a new location: it’s a strategic milestone to be closer to our customers and partners,” says Geoffroy Ville, International Business Development Manager at Atawey. “By engaging in local collaborations, we can offer tailor-made solutions, supported by expert and responsive local teams, to ensure maximum service quality and equipment availability.”

Significant value

By establishing itself in Brabant, Atawey adds significant value to the region’s growing hydrogen ecosystem. A recent feasibility study in the Brainport Eindhoven region forecasts a demand of 11.5 kilotons of hydrogen per year by 2030. With its recognized expertise, Atawey is well-prepared to support this evolution. At the same time, the company benefits from the innovation-driven culture, collaborative network, and access to leading research institutions and technology companies in Brabant.
