## Do I qualify for BOM funding?

     

 

BOM [invests](https://www.bom.nl/investeren) in scalable start-ups and scale-ups with growth potential and a strong link to Noord-Brabant. Furthermore, the social and economic impact is important. We focus on companies that are active in one of the following top sectors:

“Picks and shovels” infrastructure and application layers, always tied to disruptive product companies

Highly scalable, defensible, and built for long‑term value creation

## What do I need for a financing application?

     

 

A 100-page business plan is not an absolute must, unless you find it essential for a proper evaluation. Ask yourself the following questions when formulating the [financing application](https://www.bom.nl/financiering-bedrijf):

• What problem do I have a solution for?  
• Who are my (future) customers, and are they willing to pay for my solution?  
• Who are my competitors, and what do they have to offer?  
• What makes my proposition interesting to investors?   
• What have I achieved so far?  
• What else do I need to become successful?

 

 

 

## Are there additional investment criteria?

     

 

The specific conditions vary from case to case. There are also criteria that apply to all our investments:

• The invested amount ranges between 150,000 and 5,000,000 euros.  
• Our stake is never greater than 49 percent (we are a minority shareholder).  
• We operate with an investment horizon of 3 to 7 years.

## Healthy Fridge accelerates rollout with €1 million growth capital

 Healthy Fridge, the scale-up that makes fresh, healthy, and tasteful meals accessible 24/7 in the workplace, has raised €1 million in growth capital. The investment round was led by existing shareholders Value Factory Ventures and the Brabant Development Agency (BOM), supplemented with crowdfunding via Broccoli. The capital will be used for the further rollout of smart fridges and the development of range and technology.

 Dutch green chemical ingredients company Relement has secured a 5.4 million Euro investment from investors KIKK Capital, The Yield Lab, Brabant Development Agency (BOM), TNO Ventures as well as Relement Management. The funding consists of both new equity and conversion of existing loan agreements and will be used to scale up production of Relement’ first product called Bio MPA to make it available for the market.

 Dutch deep-tech company SandGrain today announced the successful raise of €13.5 million in a Series A funding round. ## Faster and more targeted antibiotic diagnosis with investment in Shanx

 ShanX Medtech, an Eindhoven-based medtech start-up developing groundbreaking diagnostic technology for quickly determining the appropriate antibiotic treatment, has raised a total of €15 million in a seed round. Investors include Borski Fund, NextGen Ventures, CbusineZ – an independent investment fund closely linked to health insurer CZ –, Brabant Development Agency (BOM), Invest-NL, and a prominent strategic angel investor. This funding is in addition to the recently awarded European Commission tender of 8.85 million euros.

## Brabant invests over 4 million together with the business community in sustainable chip production

 Brabant is known for its strong semiconductor sector. With the Innovation Coalition Circular Semicon (ICCS), the province of North Brabant, together with the business community, helps companies in the chip sector to produce smarter, more sustainably, and future-proof from today. A total of just over 4 million is being invested. Of this, the province is making €2 million available to accelerate this circular transition.

## BOM invests in large-scale battery storage system in Tilburg

 Attero, the Brabant Development Agency (BOM), and Energy Cooperative Burgerwindpark Spinder join forces for the realization of a large-scale energy storage system of 9 MW / 18 MWh on the premises of Attero in Tilburg. ## Brabant accelerates AI innovation for businesses with access to supercomputers

 Brabant companies, knowledge institutions, and governments gain easy access to extremely powerful computers. The province of North Brabant decides to invest over 4 million euros in the AI Supercomputing initiative Brabant. This collaboration between the province and the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Tilburg University, and the Brabant Development Agency (BOM) supports organizations in the transition from a regular computer to an AI supercomputer.
