The unique strength of BOM lies in our three competencies: [developing](https://www.bom.nl/en/developing), [investing](https://www.bom.nl/en/investing), and [internationalising](https://www.bom.nl/en/internationalising). These reinforce each other and accelerate change. To achieve greater results, we focus on four themes: our focus areas. The combined application of our competencies, the acceleration of innovations, and the focus we apply form the foundation of our strategy. In this way, we contribute to the major societal transitions of our time. Rapidly and profoundly. Think of the shift in food and energy, the growing demand for healthcare, and the rise of key technologies. These societal transitions are urgent, but they also offer opportunities. Opportunities to build a strong, enterprising, and sustainable economy. To increase speed and impact, we apply focus. We concentrate on four major transitions that are crucial for Brabant’s future. Within each theme, we select a clear focus area where we can make a difference with our core competencies: developing, investing, and internationalising. - **Climate-neutral energy** The energy transition requires smart solutions that make Brabant less dependent on fossil sources.
