Dutch deep-tech company SandGrain today announced the successful raise of €13.5 million in a Series A funding round. This investment will accelerate global expansion of SandGrain’s CyberRock solution, which delivers advanced security for IoT devices, focusing on key sectors such as industrial, critical infrastructure, and aerospace & defense. The round was led by Innovation Industries, with participation from Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (BOM), Invest-NL, and existing investor DeepTechXL.

The Netherlands must focus on next-gen and energy-efficient AI

This is evident from a new deep-dive study by Invest-NL in collaboration with ROM-Nederland. The research shows that the Netherlands is particularly strong in those parts of the AI chain where qualitative data, energy-efficient technology, reliable infrastructure, and specialist knowledge are decisive. To capitalize on this position, investments and a robust AI industry policy are necessary.

Brabant invests over 4 million together with the business community in sustainable chip production

Brabant is known for its strong semiconductor sector. With the Innovation Coalition Circular Semicon (ICCS), the province of North Brabant, together with the business community, helps companies in the chip sector to produce smarter, more sustainably, and future-proof from today. A total of just over 4 million is being invested. Of this, the province is making €2 million available to accelerate this circular transition.
