The battery system will be powered by fully green energy, coming from the wind turbines of Spinderwind and the solar park of Attero in Tilburg. This ensures optimal utilization of sustainable energy, even when sun or wind are temporarily less available.
The installation will be delivered by Pon Power, while the control will be managed through energy company Vandebron. The consortium was advised in this collaboration by Odura Advies en Projecten B.V.

“With this investment, we are taking a concrete step towards a future-proof energy system,” says Paul Ganzeboom, CEO of Attero. “The battery not only increases the flexibility of our own energy use but also helps keep the regional grid better balanced.”
The BOM also emphasizes the strategic value of the collaboration:
“This project demonstrates how collaboration between public and private parties contributes to the acceleration of the energy transition in Brabant and is proof that decentralized energy systems are possible,” says David Aghina, investment manager at BOM.
The commissioning of the battery system is scheduled for the second half of 2026.
