"This collaboration accelerates innovation, stimulates economic growth, and promotes the development of groundbreaking technologies that improve healthcare," said spokesperson Jan Rietsema of the Smart BioMaterials Consortium (SBMC). The ambitions include organizing conferences and an annual hackathon, supporting startups through venture-building programs, and offering additional lab spaces. There is also a focus on attracting top talent and investments to the region. "Besides the economic benefits, we hope this collaboration will make innovations in regenerative medicine available to patients more quickly," added Rietsema.
