European subsidy projects

BOM supports Brabant-based companies that aim to grow through international collaboration. Through subsidy projects, we connect entrepreneurs with foreign partners, test locations, and networks. Think of programmes for market validation, technology development, and international positioning.

European collaboration

BOM connects entrepreneurs in various ways with potential partners across borders. One example is the so-called Interreg programmes. The aim of these programmes is to stimulate European innovation collaboration and to overcome cross-border barriers.

Interreg is part of the European Regional Development Fund. BOM is involved in several Interreg programmes. We connect Brabant entrepreneurs with knowledge partners, facilities, and fellow entrepreneurs abroad. And for good reason — these programmes offer tremendous opportunities for businesses in Brabant.

On this page, you’ll find an overview of all current subsidy projects in which BOM is actively involved.

A selection of current subsidy projects:

  • CrossRoads Flanders–Netherlands: climate, digitalisation and healthcare
Encourages cross-border collaboration between SMEs in the Netherlands and small businesses in Belgium. Companies receive subsidies for joint innovations in climate, digitalisation, and healthcare. Since 2023, 33 projects have been approved, totalling €7.4 million in European support.
  • European Hub for Advanced Development in Regenerative Medicine and Biomaterials (EHAB)
EHAB maps the international network around the Smart BioMaterials Consortium (SBMC). The programme accelerates innovations in regenerative medicine and biomaterials by connecting startups and students with facilities in Eindhoven, such as the development factory and pilot line. EHAB promotes internationalisation and collaboration, including through a European hackathon in 2025.

Collaboration doesn’t have to stop at the border. It creates opportunities and accelerates innovation. I see every day how SMEs increase their innovative strength and market position when they collaborate smartly. So dare to look further and take the step across the border.
